Get to know the Marseille Tarot and adopt it as a valuable tool in your spiritual journey in this in-person workshop with seasoned tarot expert Paul Wood.

If you are fascinated by historical tarot traditions and eager to explore the unique imagery and symbolism of the Marseille Tarot, this workshop at The College of Psychic Studies is for you. Drawing on both modern interpretations and age-old methods, Paul will guide you through an immersive journey with the Marseille Tarot cards.

By deepening your understanding of the traditional Marseille Tarot deck's intricate designs, this workshop will boost your confidence in performing tarot readings, regardless of your experience level. Whether you're a seasoned reader looking to refine your skills or a newcomer interested in the tarot's history, you'll leave this in-person workshop with practical tools and insights to enhance your tarot practice.

This in-person workshop will explore:

  • Historical context and symbolism: Learn about the origins and evolution of the Marseille Tarot, and explore the variety of versions available today, each with its unique quirks and details.
  • Techniques for intuitive reading: Discover both modern and historical techniques for interpreting the Marseille Tarot's imagery, including some long-forgotten methods revived for contemporary practice.
  • Hands-on practice: Through interactive exercises and demonstrations, gain practical experience in reading the Marseille Tarot, building your confidence to interpret its cards in unique and meaningful ways.
  • Creating your own style: Learn how to develop your unique reading style by experimenting with different approaches and tapping into your intuition.

The Marseille Tarot can be challenging to read, especially for those accustomed to modern decks that use pictorial imagery to convey card meanings. Unlike contemporary decks filled with explicit symbols and clues, the Marseille Tarot relies more on minimalistic designs, especially in the "pip" cards (the numbered cards of the Minor Arcana). This invites readers to move beyond predefined meanings and tap into their intuition and creativity.

Book now to enrich your tarot practice and feel empowered to use the Marseille Tarot, developing a more intuitive and personalised approach to reading. Learning to read the Marseille Tarot can open new doors to intuitive insight, making the tarot reading experience more dynamic, playful, and deeply personal.
