Do you ever look at a photo of someone and long to know more about them?
Maybe you see ancestors in old photographs and want to feel closer to them? 
This in-person workshop at the College in London will show you how...

In this fun in-person workshop at the College in London, artist Melissa Alley will guide you into the process of automatic drawing and painting. 

Please bring photos of five people you know really well (please ask their permission first and bring single photos, as group photos could cause confusion when tuning in). When you arrive, the photographs will be sealed in identical separate envelopes. Melissa will then share her techniques and guidance for automatic drawing and painting to help shed light on the life and characteristics of the person within. 

What fresh insights will your drawings and paintings reveal about them? Will you be able to work out their identity before opening the envelope?
