In today's world, we are dominated by Apollo — the god of reason, order, light, and containment. And so, we repress his brother, Dionysus — the god of ecstasy and release; the uncontrollable, primal, and instinctive.
In this livestream workshop, part of a interdependent series, Joanna LaPrade, PhD, invites you to explore what a preference for the Apollonian and a repression of the Dionysian means for us.
Through this study, you will become familiar with Jungian and post-Jungian mythological interpretation. You will apply these as the theoretical orientation used to explore the archetypal basis of our own attitudes, behaviours, and experiences.
You will also receive additional suggested reading material to give you an opportunity to explore and deepen your learning even further.
This series of independent but interlinked livestream workshops (see below) focuses in on mythical Greek gods and their motifs as they appear in our personal and collective psychological lives.

We will not be recording this workshop. One of the unique aspects of the College's online events is that they are highly interactive. Participants are encouraged to discuss and share with the tutor and the group. These sharings can be very personal, and some may not feel comfortable with them being recorded.

Previous participants say:
"Fascinating take on the history of myths and how you can apply that to your own life/transformation."
"It helped re-contextualize my own perspective of my healing journey."
