The College is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Suzanne McInerney (1946-2023). Suzanne served as President of the College from 1998 to 2005, and we are grateful for her immense contribution during her term with us. Thank you, dear Suzanne, rest in peace. Former College President Stephen Chapman presents this statement:
"Suzanne McInerney, who was President of The College of Psychic Studies between 1998 and 2005, passed away on 28 January 2023. She took over from Jenny Grant.
As well as being interested in psychic matters, Suzanne's specific interest was healing - and it was as a healer that she joined the College in the 1980s. During the late 1980s and 1990s, the College, which until that time was concerned predominantly with mediumship and psychic exploration of the spiritual world, turned more of its attention to healing. It was during Suzanne's tenure that the College launched its first, and at the time comprehensive and groundbreaking, accredited healing course.
Suzanne was very much a part of this adjustment in focus and she brought to it her personal qualities of efficiency, calmness and effectiveness. She was a very nice person to know and Board meetings with her were oases of calm whatever the subject matter."
-Stephen Chapman, President of the College from 2011-2017
