I have been using iridology for over 30 years in my practice as a naturopath and herbalist to reveal information about a person's physical and emotional constitution for diagnostic purposes. Early on in my experience of this modality, I realised that I was receiving information from another source that was not purely and simply connected to the visual information I was observing. It seemed on occasion that I somehow knew things about my clients that seemed to have no place in a purely medical context.

I have written two books on iridology: one on the basic physiological model for diagnosing physical strengths and weaknesses and the status of the various organs of the body; and one on the use of iridology to give information about character, behaviour and psychology. I have developed the latter into a method that I call 'Iris Counselling', where I explore with the sitter the many ways in which they may understand the challenges of life in a context of self-development and self-healing. The very special quality that the iris offers us is that, in its complexity and intricacy, it is a true indicator of our uniqueness and individuality. No single other person on the planet has eyes identical to yours.

It was starting out along this path that revealed to me the potential for iridology to go even deeper than this and access very specific life information that the sitter may need to know about. Having been keenly interested in psychic intuition and extra sensory perception since my early teen years, I found this deeply intriguing and exciting, and I began to follow up on this direction by enrolling on courses in psychic intuition and mediumship at Tthe College of Psychic Studies. This eventually led me to Gerrie March, and I joined her intermediate mediumship training group, graduating within a year to her advanced course.

At this point the possibility of making contact with spirit communicators also arose, and I found that focussing on the eyes of the sitter also allows me to receive messages from personalities in the spirit world with a specific connection to the sitter.

The practice is dependent upon having access to detailed images of the eyes. Face to face this is done with a small torch and magnifier, or through photographs displayed on a pad or screen. Online it can be done with the provision of suitably sharp close-up images which can usually be taken with an average smart phone, and I offer guidance to prospective sitters in how to do this.
