Lisa Langer, PhD, is a Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Assistant Professor at Northwell/Hofstra School of Medicine, and Founder of PRACTICE Body Mind Soul, now part of the Katz Women's Institute/Northwell Health System as their first Center for Wellness and Integrative Medicine.
Dr. Langer is a mindfulness teacher and author, known for her book Deeper Into Mindfulness: Next Steps to Sustain Your Meditation Practice and Find Inner Peace, which won three awards, including a Silver Stevie for Most Influential Woman in Healthcare in 2021. She speaks extensively to healthcare professionals, educators, and community organisations about the benefits of mindfulness and has been featured in the Huffington Post and Thrive Global.
With a PhD from the Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies/Adelphi University and training at North Shore University Hospital, Lisa is also a certified yoga instructor and holds a certificate in Gestalt psychotherapy. Dr. Langer has over 35 years of experience in mindfulness meditation and is certified to teach Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction through UC San Diego School of Medicine.
