He knew both Maurice Grosse and Guy Lyon Playfair for over 20 years and has enjoyed extensive access to both their original records and those of other researchers involved with the Enfield case.
He is a member of the Society for Psychical Research and chairman of the Ghost Club, and has written and broadcast extensively on paranormal topics and writes a monthly column on ghosts for the magazine Fortean Times.
